How Should I Prepare for My Photo Shoot?
CLOTHING & STYLES
Some basic clothing rules as it relates to photography - Small busy prints and t-shirts with a lot of
print do not translate well on camera - Sleeveless garments emphasize arms and make them look fuller - Photoshop cannot remove wrinkles! Also pay close attention to short skirts and low cut tops. We shoot with a variety of angles so please make sure that you are adequately covered.
Please bring a variety of color - plaids are in, however, be sure to bring some solids as well. Bring several different looks to vary your style. Change up your dress level, bring some dressy, some medium and
some casual. We suggest you bring double what you think we will do so we have more to pick from.
Bring props that help define you. Sports equipment, sports uniforms, musical instruments,
your phone, etc. Sunglasses, hats, scarves and your car are also some popular props.
Tan lines show up on camera! Please be aware that before your shoot you should not
excessive tan due to tan lines and possible drying of your skin.
Makeup should only be only slightly heavier than normal. Please make sure that your mascara should be clean and clump free for those close up shots. Avoid using shimmery makeup. Though is great for going out, on camera, not so much. Also bringing powder will help knock down the summer shimmer.
